Middletown Township Public Library Does Food For Fines

Now through Nov. 19, return overdue library items and pay off your late fee with a food donation.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Do you owe late library books or materials to the Middletown Public Library?

Well, now you can pay it back with a food donation instead of cash!

This November, the Middletown Township Public Library is accepting food donations to reduce outstanding library fines.

The “Food for Fines” program runs through November 19.

Each non-perishable donation eliminates $1.00 of late fees. Participants may reduce up to $10.00 per library card. However, food donations cannot be used to pay for lost library items.

Bring unexpired, non-perishable food items such as canned meats, veggies, stews or soups, cooking oils, and hot and cold cereals to the library front desk. All the food will be donated to local food banks.
