Mold Present In 2 Additional Middletown Schools: Report
Administrator Amy Doherty said mold had also been found in Navesink and New Monmouth elementary schools, the report says.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ—Mold has been discovered in two more elementary schools in the Middletown Township Public School District, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The discovery of mold in classrooms at Nut Swamp and Lincroft elementary schools pushed back the start of the school year for every school in the district back to September 13. District Business Administrator Amy Doherty said mold had also been found in Navesink and New Monmouth elementary schools at a Board of Education meeting Thursday, the APP reports.
The school district has hired an environmental consultant to test the elementary, middle, and high school buildings room by room. The district also hired a team to remove any mold.
