New Swim School To Open On Rt. 35 In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Want your kids to learn how to swim? A new Goldfish Swim School is scheduled to open this November on Highway 35 in Middletown. It will be the first Goldfish Swim School in Monmouth County, although a Marlboro location is supposed to open next spring.

The business will be located at 500 Rt. 35 in Middletown — across Rt. 35 from the Red Bank Whole Foods; in the same complex as House of Chong and Bob's Uniforms. Construction on their new 9,000-square-foot facility is currently underway. Goldfish Swim School will offer infant and child swim lessons. The school will provide swim instruction to children ages 4 months to 12 years-old and says they have a max 4:1 student to teacher ratio. The classes are half an hour long and taught in 90-degree pools.

They're also hiring: As construction continues, Goldfish is also actively seeking to fill positions for certified swim instructors, deck supervisors, lifeguards and customer service roles.

There will be an air-conditioned viewing gallery for parents to watch lessons, a family dressing area with private changing rooms, snack bar, retail shop and tropical décor. Goldfish will also offer weekly family swims (for both members and non-members) and party packages.

There are several other Goldfish Swim Schools across New Jersey. A Marlboro location is planned to open in late spring 2018, but a location has not been revealed yet because the lease is still being finalized.
