• Check Out Eric LeGrand's Middletown Coffee Shop (patch.com) — Middletown residents now have a new spot for coffee and snacks at Eric LeGrand's recently opened LeGrand Coffee House in the Kings Commons plaza on Route 35. The former Rutgers football player and his partner hope more locals will discover the shop's specialty drinks, breakfast and lunch items, and inviting atmosphere as a convenient stop near ShopRite and local schools. 
• Nor'easter Nearly Ruined Their Wedding. Newlyweds Married At Life Time Gym (patch.com) — A Middletown health club unexpectedly became a wedding venue when a powerful nor'easter flooded the groom's Highlands neighborhood and made the couple's outdoor Farmingdale plans impossible. Staff at Life Time Middletown-Red Bank on Half Mile Road rushed to transform a yoga studio and lounge into a full celebration space, coordinating food, flowers, music, and seating so nearly all 75 guests could still attend.
