Police Investigation Underway In Middletown's Shadow Lake Complex
There is a large police presence on the scene Thursday afternoon. This is where a woman went missing last week.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — There is an active police investigation in the Shadow Lake development in Middletown Thursday afternoon, Middletown police confirmed, but said they could not offer any further details.
"It is an active investigation," said Lt. Paul Bailey with Middletown police.
The Asbury Park Press is reporting that police are recovering the body of a person found floating in Shadow Lake. Police could not confirm.

Last week this woman disappeared from the Shadow Lake 55+ community and she still has not been found. The woman is Mary Silengo, 62, and she is believed to have walked away from her home; she was first reported missing at 5:43 a.m. last Wednesday.
For the past seven days, Middletown police, firefighters and New Jersey State Police have been searching for her, bringing in a helicopter and searching the lake, nearby woods and even the Navesink River.

Members of the Shadow Lake homeowners' association and residents are also helping with the search.
Silengo is a white woman with blond and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a bright pink pajama shirt and gray sweat pants. She may have been wearing a denim jacket and dark colored shoes.
