HIGHLANDS, NJ — Alleged porch pirating really does occur: Police in Highlands announced this week they arrested a man suspected of stealing packages in that town.

Highlands police first announced they were looking for the man Saturday, Dec. 16. Police said he was seen on security cameras stealing packages from an address on Bay Avenue. They also had a description of his vehicle.

On Sunday, Dec. 17 Highlands patrolman Officer Ryan Clark said he saw the car in question around 5 a.m. that morning, and the man was arrested and charged with theft. Highlands police did not get back to Patch yet when asked for the man's name.
