State-of-the-Art Fitness Facility Opens In Colts Neck, New Jersey
Veteran Fitness Coaches Brian Bott & Rainer Robertson Open ASPIRE Fitness LLC
ASPIRE Fitness is officially opened for business at 273 Route 34 in Colts Neck, N.J. On Thursday, July 16, Colts Neck Mayor James C. Schatzle proudly presided over the ribbon-cutting with owners and veteran fitness coaches and sports participants, Brian Bott and Rainer Robertson. The duo was surrounded by enthusiastic friends and family members for their first foray into entrepreneurship. Bott, BS, CFSC, and Robertson, USAW, TPI, are residents of Long Branch.
The 3,000 square-foot fitness facility focuses on helping clients to attain targeted and lifestyle-specific fitness goals. Bott and Robertson are passionate about helping people to attain a better quality of life, but also feel their greater mission is to change the fitness industry and to address areas which need improvement. Bott explained that many gyms are designed to benefit the owners, not the members, and are not attentive enough to safety, prevention of injury, or members and their goals. As a result, the image of the fitness industry has suffered, according to Bott and Robertson. They want to change that image and have deliberately created an environment that emphasizes individual goals and accomplishment, not universal standards or the ability of members to mirror coaches or completion of tasks. “Most people join a gym or seek a fitness coach for three main reasons: to look better, to move better or to feel better. Rainer and I view fitness as a solution to a problem, as a means to live and to enjoy a better life. Fitness itself or being better at the act of being fit is not really the ultimate end result. Instead, fitness is a vehicle which enables you to do other things and to add dimension to your life,” noted Bott. He added, “For some people, the goals are eliminating fatigue, feeling stronger, running a 5K, taking longer walks, playing a new sport or simply being able to keep up with active children from day to day or a busy professional schedule with greater ease.”
All memberships in ASPIRE Fitness begin with a 45-minute to one hour strategy session and consultation to discuss and set client goals, which includes a movement screening designed to assess levels of mobility and flexibility and to prevent injuries. Depending on the type of membership chosen, clients are then presented with a customized fitness program and a nutrition compliance guide. ASPIRE Fitness offers a variety of membership levels to all age groups which combine group classes, customized fitness regimens, nutritional guidance, semi-private training sessions, and private one-on-one training sessions. A full arsenal of universal equipment, free weights, ropes, and kettle bells are available. Bott and Robertson are proud that their current client roster includes teenagers to people in their mid-70s.
