An ordinance was adopted that vacated a paper street behind the former Hess gas station on Rt. 35. (A "paper street" is a street on a map that was never built. Middletown has quite a few of these.) While the Township Committee did not say it, this was likely done in connection with the planned 230-unit townhouse development on nearby Taylor Lane. Another ordinance was adopted to amend residential development residential requirements. And some members of the Middletown Board of Education came in to thank the Committee for their support regarding school funding.
