Westminster Presbyterian Church Offers Feed The Needy Food Event
Drive Through Food Pantry Open Saturday May 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 94 Tindall Road in Middletown, will be sponsoring a food drive to help its church family and community members who are struggling to make ends meet during the Covid19 crisis.
Phase 2 of WPC's Pop The Trunk Mobile Pantry Program goes into high gear this Saturday from 1 to 3 pm. Anyone needing some help stocking up on groceries is invited to stop by WPC at 94 Tindall Road and drive through to receive a bag filled with nonperishable pantry essentials.
Just drive in, pop your trunk and a gloved, masked, appropriately distanced volunteer will put a bag in your trunk, so the distribution is contactless, which meets current social distancing mandates.

The food collected during a hugely successful food donation drive on April 25th plus food from WPC’s own pantry will be used in the distribution event so the church can contribute to helping the community in crisis. Any food left over from this food event will be given to St. Mark's Food Pantry in Keansburg, and other local organizations.
According to WPC’s Reverend Joseph Hein, “For more than a decade, Westminster has been a church that the community can always count on, especially in a crisis. We have always been a church more interested in giving than in getting. I hope that with events like this food drive, we will continue in the vein of being that church as we all work together to battle the crippling effects of this pandemic.”
