Read to A Dog and Reading Buddies for Younger Siblings: A relaxed, nonjudgmental “dog-friendly” atmosphere allowing children to practice reading skills by sitting next to a dog and reading aloud. Children relax, pat the attentive dog, and focus on practicing the skill of reading, building self-esteem, and associating reading with something pleasant. For independent readers only, grades K-5. Teen reading buddies are available for younger siblings as well as for the K-5 set for practice prior to their “dog time”. Wednesday, March 21st @ 4:00 pm.
