The Library has posted on its website a detailed reopening process entitled Health Emergency Library Plan (HELP). It describes in detail the steps taken to protect staff and patrons from this pandemic and future health emergencies. HELP sets guidelines in cooperation with all relevant federal, state, county and township agencies.
The second purpose is to protect essential library services, materials, records, equipment and facility, and to minimize damages and ensure the return of full library operations as quickly as possible to serve the community.
The Plan may be accessed from the Library website’s home page by clicking on the COVID-19 Information & Resources link at the top of the page, then scrolling down to the For information about the MTPL Re-opening Guidelines, click here and clicking on it.
The Library has also posted the Library's 2019 Annual Report. To access the report, click on the ABOUT US link at the top right portion of the web page to access the drop-down menu, then click on the ANNUAL REPORT 2019 link.

Book and Author Talk presents a special event: a Zoom Video Conferencing with Kate Moore, author of The Radium Girls, the first-ever narrative non-fiction account of this inspirational true story. The Radium Girls were female factory workers in Orange, NJ who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials with self-luminous, radium-based paint, having been told the paint was harmless. In the 1920s, one group of women brought a suit against their employer, the United States Radium Corporation. They experience necrosis of the jaw, tooth loss, anemia and a variety of other radiation-related health problems. Some were so radioactive their jaws could leave traces on dental film even without x-rays.
