What's Happening @ Middletown Township Public Library 8/24-29/20

Free programs at the Middletown Township Public Library

Daily newspapers will be available starting Monday, August 17th. Gloves and masks are required at all times while handling newspapers. Newspapers will not be available 30 minutes prior to closing.

SLP Musically Sing-Along from Home: Saturday, August 29th, 11:00 am – 11:45 am via ZOOM. Join Miss Kat for a fun, free, and accessible music experience. Children or all abilities (in particular AAC users), ages 4-9 are welcome to come listen and sing the music of Laurie Berkner Band, camp songs, and some originals performed in a sing-along style. Register online.

Figment Follies – a virtual program: Hobbit-Sized Show will feature a fairy tale story, a song relating to that story and some silliness. For ages up to 7 @ 10:00 am. Regular Show: Story teller Will Stuck features his usual MESS (Music, Education, Stories and Science) around imagination and fairy tales with a science experiment that ties into the fantasy theme of this summer. For ages 8 through teen @ 10:30 am. Register online at mtpl.org; Registrants will receive show link on August 24th. Program may be viewed August 25th - 30th as often as desired.

Upcoming Event: The virtual meeting of the Mystery Book Club on Wednesday, September 9th @ 10:00 am will discuss A Treacherous Curse by Deanne Raybourn. Registration is required and link will be sent out day prior to event.

Teen Zone is now open for limited borrowing BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Available times are posted on the Library’s online calendar. Appointments are for one person for 15 minutes. To register, clink of TEEN ZONE BROWSING on the calendar.

BOOK AND AUTHOR TALK presents R. C. Staab in a special zoom video conferencing event: 100 Things To Do At The Jersey Shore Before You Die. Author Staab will discuss social distancing activities and tell stories about the Jersey Shore. He maintains an updated list of everything open and restrictions in place which he will share. A zoom presentation with a Q&A link. Event will occur at two times: Thursday, August 27th @ 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. Register online to receive Zoom link
