Woman Hit By Car Near Middletown Livoti's Market
Her arm actually became stuck under the car in the T.J. Maxx parking lot. Police and bystanders had to lift the car to free her Sunday.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A woman was hit by a car Sunday evening in the Middletown Shopping Center parking lot on Rt. 35. Her arm actually became stuck under the vehicle, EMS crews on the scene tell Patch.
The accident happened at 6:41 p.m. Sunday in front of Livoti's Old World Market, the popular upscale Monmouth County Italian market, and next to the newly opened Middletown T.J. Maxx. When Middletown EMS paramedics got there, the woman's arm was trapped under one of the car's tires. Police and people standing by had to actually lift the car up to free the woman, EMS workers said.
They were able to free her. The woman, who appeared to have just been shopping in the area, was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Leonardo First Aid & Rescue Squad and MONOC paramedics also responded, and the scene was run by Chief Floyd Goldstein. Assistance was also provided by Old Village Fire Company and Community Fire Company's rescue truck, under the direction of First Assistant Chief Steve Schweitzer and Second Assistant Chief Russ Mount.
