2 Police Chases In Millburn Due To Attempted Car Theft, Burglary
A Millburn man said that he saw 4 men jump out of a Porsche and try to enter his Aston Martin. When the men left, police gave chase.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police investigated a number of attempted car thefts and burglaries in town in the past two weeks, but had to terminate two car chases due to safety concerns.

Police said that on Sept. 28, at 11:35 a.m., Officer Larcom responded to the parking lot of 800
Morris Turnpike, on a report of attempted burglary to a vehicle. The owner reported that he saw four men jump out of a black Porsche Macan and attempt to enter his red Aston Martin.
The men were not successful, so they left in the Porsche. However, Detectives Royce and DeRosa, who were responding, saw them.

The detectives attempted to stop the vehicle, but it left at a high rate of speed, police said. The detectives chased the vehicle to Route 78, but had to stop due to safety concerns.
Another Pursuit
Police said that this past Monday, at 8:36 p.m., Officer Jezewski saw a stolen 2020 Ford Explorer travelling on White Oak Ridge Road near Alexander Lane. Jezewski attempted to stop the vehicle, but it left. He pursued it to Route 24 East, but had to stop due to safety concerns.
2 People In Face Masks Caught On Video
Tuesday, at 8:35 a.m., Millburn Police Officer Dalakian responded to a Tennyson Drive home on a report of attempted burglary to a vehicle. The resident said that he saw, on video, two people wearing dark clothing and face masks and attempting to enter his vehicle at 12:40 a.m. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
Range Rover With Key Fob Is Stolen, Later Recovered
On Wednesday, at 8:53 a.m., Officer Czupak responded to a Birch Lane residence on a report of theft of a vehicle, police said. The resident said that someone wearing dark clothing and a face mask stole his 2020 Range Rover from his driveway at 10:49 p.m. the previous night, according to security video. The key fob had been left in the vehicle.
The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.
