Activities This Weekend For Native Plant Appreciation Month In Millburn
The Millburn Green Team has planned more giveaways and activities this weekend for Native Plant Appreciation Month.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn Green Team has several events planned for this weekend as part of Native Plant Appreciation Month, in which they have encouraged the community to add native plants to their yards.
On Saturday, there will be a native plant seedling giveaway in Taylor Park, and other activities. (This is separate than the giveaway of five trees organized by the DEP in town this coming Friday.)
Then, Sunday, there will be guided native plant hikes in the Cora Hartshorn Arborteum.

The month is meant to bring awareness to the role that native plants play in sustaining native species biodiversity in the local ecosystem.
