Blue Mercury Burglarized, Window Smashed: Millburn Police

An alert citizen notified police of the burglary in progress, authorities said.

MILLBURN, NJ - A smash and grab burglary brought the Millburn Police Department out to investigate on Jan. 30, according to authorities.

According to police, just before 1 a.m., Millburn Police responded to Blue Mercury at 341 Millburn Ave. on a burglary report. A passerby notified dispatch about a van parked outside Blue Mercury and two individuals committing a theft inside the store, police said.

The front glass door and a front window were found smashed out upon arrival, police said. Police said it is unknown the value of the stolen property.

The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
