Cars Burglarized In Short Hills Mall: Cops

Smashed windows led to stolen goods from the top parking deck, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ - More than $1,700 in goods were taken from parked cars at The Mall At Short Hills on Dec. 26, according to the Millburn Township Police Department.

Millburn Police responded to Neiman Marcus on reports of burglaries to motor vehicles made by Neiman Marcus personnel. According to police, Neiman Marcus employees were informed by a patron that they witnessed individuals on the top parking deck breaking into a vehicle.

A 2010 BMW 328 was found with a broken window and handbags that were taken dropped on the ground, police said. A 2014 BMW 535 was also burglarized and two coats valued at $1790 were taken from the trunk, and a 2017 Mercedes Benz C30 was also found burglarized in the Nordstrom parking deck. The victim reported a phone charger was taken, police said.

All three incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
