Drug Arrest After Running A Red Light: Millburn Police

Matthew Ayala was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

MILLBURN, NJ - A 21-year-old Linden man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after running a red light, according to Millburn Police.

According to officials, Officer Czupak stopped a 2017 Nissan Sentra on Route 124 for going through a red light on Nov. 4. The investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Ayala for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Ayala was issued a summons and released.
