Letter: Red Cross Thankful for Donation
The PTO held its annual Thanksgiving food drive for families in Millburn

Dear Editor:
Thanks to the generosity of our elementary school families the Thanksgiving holiday was a great deal happier for many families. More than decorated by the students and containing more than enough food for the holiday meal, a ShopRite Gift Card and a certificate for a turkey were prepared under the guidance of Lynn Linczyc, PTO Community Outreach chair, and several PTO representatives. Firefighter James Boyle coordinated the delivery of the bundles by off-duty firefighters who so generously donated their time and strength to complete the deliveries.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Linczyc and the schools' PTO representatives, who take on this monumental event each year and make it look easy; to Robert McGrady, manager of ShopRite of Millburn, for his assistance, cooperation and support of the annual program, and the aforementioned township firefighters for their "strength" and "stamina" in not only delivering the baskets to the families, but for transporting the tremendous amount of extra food to our food pantry at the chapter house. A huge thank you also goes to the Board of Education custodians who transported the food from the schools to the education center.
