Man Charged With Assault, Threats After Millburn Police Respond To 'Fight' On Main Street

Millburn police responded to a report of a fight outside near a restaurant, and charged a man with assault and resisting arrest.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn Police Officers responded to a fight in progress on Main Street last Wednesday and ended up charging a man with assault, threats, and resisting arrest.

Police said that they responded to 42 Main St. Staff members at The Standard restaurant, nearby, told police that the man was "harassing and threatening the employees," police said.

Millburn police said that when they tried to stop the man, Richard Boursiquot, 37, of Union, he resisted arrest and "fought with police."

They eventually took him into custody and charged him with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, and weapons offenses, police said.

He was taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
