Man Hits Cop With Bag Of Change After Taking Coins From Short Hills Fountain: Police
A Millburn police officer was injured when he arrested a man at the mall for taking coins from a fountain, and got hit with a bag of change.
MILLBURN, NJ — A Newark man was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault on Tuesday after he stole coins from a fountain at the Mall at Short Hills, then hit an officer with a bag of change, the Millburn police said.
The officer received medical treatment for his injuries, police said.
Police said that on Tuesday, Aug. 9, Millburn Police Officer Seebohm responded to the Mall at Short Hills at 4:55 p.m. on a report of theft.

They said that Mall Security told them Dameon Mosely, 28, of Newark, was seen stealing
change from the fountain and was now at a nearby bus stop.
Officer Seebohm located Mosely at the stop, police said.

"Upon detaining him, Mosely assaulted Officer Seebohm by shoving him and then striking him in
the head with a bag of change," police said.
Seebohm and Officer Griffin arrested Mosely. He was charged with aggravated assault, theft, resisting arrest, trespassing, and weapons offenses.
He was taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
Seebohm received medical treatment for his injuries, police said.
