Millburn Area: Whole Foods Recalls Asparagus Salad

Whole Foods Market is recalling 10-ounce packages of mislabeled asparagus, pea, and ricotta salad due to eggs being in the product.
The salads were mislabeled and actually contain miniature asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, and Swiss frittatas.

The salads have egg in them, which was not made known to customers due to the mislabeling, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said in a recall notice.
They were sold on Sunday at four of the chain's New Jersey stores:

- Vauxhall (Millburn-Union)
- Middletown
- Ridgewood
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the salad.
No illnesses or reactions have been reported.
The recalled salads have a UPC code of 036406303445 and a sell by date of April 14.
Customers who purchased the product may return it to the store for a refund. Those with questions can call 617-492-5500.
