Millburn First Responders Hit The Runway Thursday
Millburn Police and Fire Departments will be strutting their stuff for a charity event.
MILLBURN, NJ - Awards season is in full swing and the Millburn Police Department and Millburn Fire Department are getting into the spirit by walking the red carpet for charity.
The Millburn first responders will be participating in the 7th annual Red Carpet Party at Canoe Brook Country Club on 1108 Morris Turnpike in Short Hills.
The program takes place at 7 p.m. and includes cocktails, dinner and a fashion show with police officers and firefighters taking the runway to benefit Family and Children’s Services of Union County.

“The Summit Police Department is pleased to join Summit and Millburn firefighters to raise money for disadvantaged and traumatized children, youth and families,” Summit Police Chief Robert Weck said. “It is going to be a fun evening and I hope that the community will come out and cheer us on as we make our modeling debuts for a great cause.”
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend. Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased online.

Family and Children’s Services is an independent non-profit behavioral health and social service agency serving Union County and the surrounding area. Founded in 1893, the agency focuses its work on at-risk, disadvantaged and traumatized children, youth and families.
