Millburn Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee Meeting Thursday, April 13

he Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, April 13 at 7 pm in Town Hall, located at 375 Millburn Ave. The meeting will be conducted in person and members of the committee will discuss flooding concerns of the Glenwood and Washington sections of town.

All residents are welcome to attend and encouraged to discuss flooding concerns with the committee.

There are four public meetings scheduled between March and May:

• Thursday, March 30, at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, located at 375 Millburn Avenue.
  • Topic: Flooding Concerns of the South Mountain and Wyoming Sections (Rahway River East Branch)
• Thursday, April 13, at 7:00 pm at Town Hall.
  • Topic: Flooding Concerns of the Glenwood and Washington Sections
• Tuesday, May 9, at 7:00 pm at Town Hall.
  • Topic: Annual Hurricane Preparation Meeting
• Thursday, June 1, at 9:00 am at Town Hall.
  • Topic: Addresses Flooding Concerns with Downtown Merchants (Rahway River West Branch)

Although discussions will focus on particular areas of the Township, all residents are welcome to attend any of the public meetings.

The Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee’s purpose is to mobilize community involvement in flood control matters and funding concerns, address funding issues with the governing body, provide pertinent information to residents, and serve in an advisory capacity to the Township Committee on flood control matters.
