Newark Man Charged With Shoplifting: Millburn Police

Leroy Williams Jr. attempted to take 11 items without paying, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ - A 26-year-old Newark man helped himself to 11 items without paying for them, according to the Millburn Police Department.

On Dec. 1, Millburn Police Officer Manuyag responded to Macy's on a theft report, authorities said. Macy's personnel reported that Leroy Williams Jr. concealed 11 items valued at $725.99 in a bag and on his person and left the store without making payment, police said.

Williams was placed under arrest and issued a summons before being released, police said.
