More Details

NJ Transit said the damage was caused by a tree that fell during Monday evening's strong winds. The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory for the evening.

The lines run through many populous New Jersey towns, including Bernardsville, Chatham, Gladstone, Maplewood, Millburn/Short Hills, Morristown, Secaucus, Summit, and more.

On Tuesday, Maplewood ran a jitney service and Summit planned to run extra buses through Thursday for their residents.
