Pair Of Thieves Take $4K From Hermes: Millburn Police

Two thefts on the same day saw the store lose $4,430 in merchandise, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ - A pair of thieves helped themselves to more than $4,000 in merchandise on Dec. 17, according to the Millburn Police Department.

Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to the Hermes store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report where employees said a black male wearing a grey Nike jacket and jeans took a belt and buckle valued at $980 and left the store without making payment, police said.

A short time later a black female wearing a white hat, scarf, and overcoat took two sweaters valued at $3,450, concealed them in a bag and left the store without making payment, police said.

Both incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
