Millburn police are investigating a reported fraud involving an online escrow company.
Police said a resident reported the incident last Wednesday after he did not receive the money owed for an online auction sale.
The buyer suggested he would make payment through an online escrow company after he won a watch through the auction. The resident reported the escrow company informed him the money was received, so he sent the watch to the buyer in Paris. The watch was sent in mid-January, but the payment has not arrived, police said.
