Shoplifter Had Heroin In Short Hills Mall: Millburn Police

MILLBURN, NJ - A 23-year-old West Orange woman was charged with shoplifting and drug possession after an incident with police on Sept. 5, according to the Millburn Police Department.

According to authorities, Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Sephora store at The Mall at Short Hills where Sephora personnel said Julianna Leonard of West Orange concealed $179 worth of merchandise in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment.

Leonard was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances heroin and marijuana, police said. Leonard was issued a summons and released.
