Short Hills Home Gets Late Night Visit From Intruder: Millburn PD
A family nanny told officers that she heard a noise in the Short Hills home around 10:36 p.m., Millburn police said.

SHORT HILLS, NJ — An alleged home invader gained access to a Short Hills home earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the Millburn Police Department, the incident took place on Aug. 3 on Great Oak Drive. A family nanny told officers that she heard a noise in the home around 10:36 p.m. She then called the homeowner, who was away at the time of the incident.
When the homeowner checked his camera system in the house, he saw that there was an unknown man in the kitchen, police said.

When Millburn police arrived on the scene, officers checked the residence but didn’t find the intruder. The officers later discovered that the man apparently entered the home through a back window.
Although he “rummaged through a jewelry box,” nothing inside the home appeared to be missing. Millburn detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
