South Mountain Poets Meet Tuesday Night

1. The South Mountain Poets meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the for first of two meetings this month. The group reads and critiques each other's work. For more information on joining the group, visit its website.

2. hosts its band and strings concert for family and friends on Tuesday.

3. There's story time at the Millburn Public Library on Tuesday. Readings for 2 year olds is at 10 a.m., 9-24-month-year-olds at 10:40 a.m. and 3-5 year olds at 1:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

4. The school district is accepting applications for 3-year-old regular education students to enter the lottery for the district's integrated preschool program. The applications are due March 1, and the lottery will be held on March 2. For more information, click here.

5. If you're interested in running for the Board of Education, candidate packets are available at the Education Center. They include a petition that needs signatures, and it needs to be submitted before March 8 at 4 p.m. at the Education Center. The kits are available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (except President's Day on Feb. 21). The school election is April 27.
