Stay Cool In Millburn This Weekend

With triple digit temperatures possible this weekend, Millburn has some spots to keep cool.

MILLBURN, NJ - Dangerously high temperatures are forecast for this weekend and there are places in Millburn where residents can go to help beat the heat.

The following cooling centers will be open in the Township over the weekend:

Bauer Community Center in Taylor Park will be open from noon to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Game room will be open for kids, large assembly room and small reading room will be open for socialization, exercise, etc.

Millburn Free Public Library will be open Saturday from 9:30 a.m. through 5:15 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. through 4:45 p.m.

Essex County will have Codey Arena available from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Short Hills Mall will have their normal operating hours, Saturday from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m.

Officials note that the Millburn Pool Funtastic Swim Day scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to Saturday, Aug. 3 but the pool will still be open this weekend to pool members looking to go for a swim and cool down.
