MILLBURN, NJ — Greenwood Gardens, the 28-acre public garden and historic site in Short Hills, has a slew of events and talks coming up this month — or you can just stroll the grounds and marvel at the fall colors and architecture.
Greenwood offers allees, flowers, planting, pools and fountains that are picturesque and home to pollinators.
Greenwood Gardens is a non-profit site located at 274 Old Short Hills Road. Its mission is to connect people with nature in a historic garden oasis through self-guided tours, classes, and programs at the nexus of nature, beauty, and history.

Formerly the private estate of the Day and Blanchard families, Greenwood is supported by gifts, membership, and volunteers and is open to the public.
Also, if it does rain, we are prepared! Greenwood’s new rain garden has proven to be enormously successful in managing the recent enormous amount of water, flooding and rain.
