Zombies, sand castles, Q*Bert, Rubik's Cubes and water slides. Learn about some of the coolest world records ever set in the Garden State.

When New Jersey bowler Tim Emery rolled a perfect game in 75 seconds earlier this year – a possible world record – he told a reporter that the astounding feat happened quicker than you’d expect. “You get the ball and throw it,” he said. “You don't have time to think.”

That’s how quickly magic can happen in the Garden State.

Luckily, the folks at Guinness World Records have helped to preserve some of New Jersey’s most unique moments, each of which set a world record at one time. Get inspiration for your own attempt at glory with the below tales of wonder. Note: Not all records may be current. Get up-to-date record data at the Guinness website.
