Essex County Opioid Awareness Walk Passes Through Montclair

The walk began in Newark and ended in Caldwell, stopping in Montclair along the way. It aims to spread awareness about the opioid crisis.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, members of the Montclair Police Department participated in the Essex Health and Wellness Recovery Center Opioid Awareness Walk which began in Newark and ended in Caldwell. One of the stop locations along the walk was at the Montclair Art Museum.

The walk spreads awareness of the opioid and fentanyl crisis we are seeing across the nation.

“The Montclair Police Department has partnered with the Essex Health and Wellness Recovery Center for many years and supports their mission to provide recovery and treatment services to those suffering with substance use disorders,” Chief Todd Conforti said.
