MCPK TO HOLD CELEBRATION WALKATHON
Montclair Community Pre-K (MCPK) opened its doors for its first group of students in 1998 and this year the first MCPK class is graduating from high school. To mark this exciting occasion, MCPK is organizing a Celebration Walkathon the starting point for which is Montclair High School (MHS), concluding at MCPK, to symbolically trace the educational journey from pre-k to high school.
The fun-filled event will take place on Sunday May 6, 2012 beginning MHS at 2 p.m. and will culminate in a festive gathering at MCPK at the conclusion of the walk. Everyone is invited to walk and participate. MCPK welcomes all of its current MCPK families, graduates, community members and supporters of early childhood education to join in this milestone event. Sponsorships range from $5 - $100 and up, and all are encouraged to attend and walk whether or not they obtain sponsors. All funds raised from the Celebration Walkathon will support the MCPK financial assistance program. MCPK provides Montclair children with a high-quality early childhood education and offers sliding-scale tuition based on family income.
