On Saturday April 21st at 830pm, Montclair’s, The Porchistas are hosting another four band showcase at Tierney’s Tavern at 138 Valley Road in Montclair. Along with Tierneys favorites The Micks, The Porchistas will be sharing the stage with Cropduster and Fairmont, two bands with strong footholds in New Jersey’s independent rock scene.
Hackensack, New Jersey's Cropduster attracted national attention in 2001 for its sophomore CD, Drunk Uncle, which found the alt-rock quartet segueing from crunchy power pop and twangy country rock to distorted guitar sound effects and distinctive goofball eccentricity.

Described as “smart and cutting punk rock" by The Star Ledger’s Tris McCall, The Porchistas were recently featured in The Ledger’s “Merging Scenes” and “Montclair Rock City.” They are currently hard at work in their Montclair studio on their upcoming CD.
