Cinnamon the dog gets new temporary guardians in nick of time.

Good news, Montclair animal lovers… Cinnamon has found a new temporary home.
Last week, the municipally run Montclair Animal Shelter lit up social media with their plea to find a new foster home for a seven-year-old dog in their custody.
According to a heavily-shared post, Cinnamon’s former foster guardians were forced to surrender the dog when their new landlord instituted a “no pets” policy. Cinnamon’s former guardians were allegedly given until Saturday, March 28, to get rid of their dog, a legally questionable policy in New Jersey. [See related Patch article]

On Sunday, a day after the deadline, the Montclair Animal Shelter reported on its Facebook page that one of the shelter’s volunteers and her son agreed to foster Cinnamon, just in time to beat the April 1 deadline.
“Cinnamon has transitioned into a new foster home,” the animal shelter wrote, spurring multiple exclamations of “so happy” from online commenters.
