Montclair Cops Make Opioid Overdose Save: Police

Montclair police officers successfully revived an "unresponsive" and possibly overdoing man on Essex Avenue, authorities say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police officers successfully revived an “unresponsive” and possibly overdoing man on Essex Avenue earlier this month, authorities say.

According to the Montclair Police Department, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive 39-year-old man in an Essex Avenue home on March 4. On arrival, the officers noted that the man was suffering from an apparent opioid overdose.

They then administered Naloxone to the man, successfully reviving him, authorities said.

Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital for treatment, police stated.
