Montclair Police Chief David Sabagh may soon be stepping down from the top cop post.

Montclair, NJ – Montclair Police Chief David Sabagh may soon be stepping down from the top cop post.
Sabagh will be taking “a management position at a private company” according to NorthJersey.com.

According to a township release, Sabagh is a career law enforcement professional who began his career in 1985, with the Montclair Police Department and was the youngest chief in the agency’s history.
Sabagh – a resident of Cedar Grove - serves as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he teaches classes in leadership and domestic preparedness, and is a certified private pilot, according to the township.

Sabagh was recently named Municipal Law Enforcement Executive of the Year by the Essex County Chiefs of Police Association.
