Sweet Prize Offered If You Find Montclair Bakery’s ‘Golden Donut’

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A donut a day for a year. That’s the prize that comes with the “golden donut,” which local bakery Montclair Bread Company is offering to one, lucky customer in honor of National Doughnut Day.

Here’s how it works, the Montclair bakery said:

“Montclair Bread will have sampler boxes of doughnuts available for pre-order on their online store, https://squareup.com/store/Montclairbread. All customers who pre-order a box of doughnuts for pick up on Friday, June 1 will not only be guaranteed some delicious treats on National Doughnut Day, they will also have a chance of receiving a special Golden Doughnut in their box. The recipient of this Golden Doughnut will be able to stop by the Montclair Bread Company and pick out one of their delicious and unique doughnut treats, every single day for a whole year.”

The Montclair pastry shop has made headlines with their unique promotions in the past. After the bitter 2016 presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Montclair Bread Co.'s owner and head baker Rachel Crampsey created the “Everybody Poops” donut, an emoji-shaped confectionary delight made from buttermilk chocolate cake, a marshmallow center and rich chocolate ganache.
