Montano asked family and friends to join Team Maryann to honor the memory of his late wife, Maryann, whose donated organs and tissue helped others.
Nearly 9,000 people, all touched in some way by organ and tissue donation, walked or ran in the event to help raise awareness and funds for organ donation. This year’s 5K has already raised $700,000.
