MONTVILLE, NJ— Jennifer Weiss, a freshman at Montville High School, has been selected for the New Jersey All State Symphonic Band.
All State Band is highly competitive, and Weiss is one of only a few freshman to be selected. She plays the clarinet.
“I love the clarinet because it is versatile,” Weiss said. “It has a good part in classical music, but it is also great to play jazz with it. I enjoy playing jazz.”

“This year, I want to congratulate Jennifer Weiss who, as a freshman, made it into the All State Symphonic Band on the Clarinet,” said MTHS Band Director Kenneth Korlishin, “This is quite an accomplishment for Jennifer. Through her talent and hard work, we are proud to have her represent MTHS in this great accomplishment!”
