The United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey is pleased to announce that Heather Valosin has been appointed pastor of Montville United Methodist Church in Towaco, NJ.
Pastor Valosin has been serving as the Director of Pastoral Care at Trinity United Church in Warren, NJ for the past three years. In this role, she preached regularly, led small groups, provided member care and expanded the church’s online presence via social media. As a graduate of Drew Theological School, she has also interned at the Church Center for the UN, served as the youth director at the UMC of Summit and been involved in camping ministry for five full summers at Jumonville, a UMC camp in PA. Her husband, Eric, is a professional artist and they have one son.
The Montville United Methodist Church is active in ministry in the community, with a deep commitment to helping others. Current ministries include United Methodist Women, “Upper Room” ministry (gently used clothing and household items), outreach to the Greenbriar residential facility, Morrristown Soup Kitchen, Red Bird mission trip, CUMAC, and a church owned nursery school.
