With Eyes on County Tournament, Tennis Team 5-0
Montville remains unbeaten with sweep of Mount Olive.
The Montville Township High School girls tennis team remained unbeaten with a 5-0 sweep at home over Mount Olive on Monday.
The Mustangs, who improved to 5-0 on the season, proved to be dominant in singles, led by senior Minami Okajima, who won her match 6-0, 6-0.
Freshmen Kaitlin Sanzone and Kristen Godau continued their development, handling their opponents 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0, respectively.

The Mustangs' more experienced doubles team, comprised of senior Nicola Armenti and junior Molly Smith, was equally dominant, beating Mount Olive in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
The only truly competitive match involved Montville's improving second doubles team, comprised of junior Lindsay Macheska and sophomore Rachel Langer. The girls dropped their first set, but bounced back to record a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win.

Assistant coach and junior varsity coach Alessandra Brita praised the gitls for the their dominant play.
"We're very pleased with how the girls have been playing," she said. "We're very excited to be playing in the county tournament."
The Mustangs have two more matches this week, at Sparta on Tuesday and at High Point Regional High School on Thursday, before the Morris County Tournament, which begins on Friday.
