Van Martin Brings Rat Pack Sound to Montville
Big band singer to perform at library's Tribute to the Rat Pack

He may not be Frank Sinatra, but big band tribute singer Van Martin is coming to the public library next month for all of Montville's Rat Pack needs.
As part of the library's "Tribute to the Rat Pack" day August 14, area performer Van Martin will take center stage to perform Rat Pack and other Italian American favorites from the golden age of American big band sound.
"People love the big band sound," said Joe Grillo, the principal for Gforce Bands and Gforce II, Next Generation, Van Martin's booking company.
"It's classic and never goes out of style. There is nothing in this world quite like the sound or a real live big band."
Van Martin has performed in Las Vegas and Atlantic City showrooms, New York City nightclubs, Copacabana, Rainbow Grill and the NY Playboy Club and various other corporate and private events. He works through Gforce II, Next Generation, a wedding band and corporate party entertainment company that works in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania areas.
"When I have a customer who wants' something very special and "old school" I recommend Van," Grillo said.
