• Gottheimer brings $8.5 million to defray N.J. security costs for World Cup (newjerseyglobe.com) — Moonachie’s police department will share in $3 million of new federal security funding aimed at towns surrounding MetLife Stadium for the 2026 World Cup. Rep. Josh Gottheimer says the broader $8.5 million package will help cover overtime, coordination, and emergency response as the tournament’s matches, including the final, draw huge crowds to North Jersey.
