14 Moorestown High School Students Named National Merit Commended Students

The identities of the 14 students were announced on Tuesday.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A total of 14 Moorestown High School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program, Principal Andrew Seibel announced on Tuesday. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who took the 2016 PSAT/NMSQT.

The Commended Students are as follows:

  • Joanna Elia;
  • Rachel Han;
  • Paige Hillman;
  • Katherine Holmbeck;
  • Emily Hurren;
  • Rose Litt;
  • Mira Mookerjee;
  • Varnitha Punnuru;
  • Timothy Sever;
  • Jason Tan;
  • Ingrid Thone;
  • Nicholas Weller; and
  • Abigail Wilson.
