Libertarian Murray Sabrin, a Ramapo College finance professor has run for U.S. Senate three times before as a Republican. In 1997, he was the Libertarian Party’s nominee for governor, and the first third-party candidate to raise enough money to appear in televised debates with two major-party candidates, Republican Christie Whitman and Democrat Jim McGreevey.. Much of the conversation around the U.S. Senate race in New Jersey has focused on the matchup between incumbent Democrat Bob Menendez and GOP challenger Bob Hugin,.but on Sunday evening, Murray Sabrin will meet with the voters of South Jersey and the media to explain why he is a better candidate than the two “Bobs,” and why the South Jersey voters should vote for the Libertarian candidates in the upcoming election. A new scientific poll conducted by Gravis Marketing, a nopartisan research firm, shows that 16% of voters in New Jersey who know of Murray Sabrin will vote for him. The results of the poll showed that once voters were informed of Sabrin's positions, he quickly rose to be within striking distance of Menendez and Hugin.
