On Tuesday, an officer witnessed a vehicle moving recklessly along Mount Ephraim Avenue.

After trying to conduct a stop, the car lost control and crashed into a building at the intersection of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Collings Road.

Two people immediately got out of the vehicle and tried to escape on foot.

Using a K-9 officer, one of the individuals was seen moving through the backyards of homes along Collings Road.

Both of those who fled were then taken into custody without conflict, authorities said.

Officers were able to recover two loaded handguns, one of which was reported stolen and had a high-capacity magazine.

They also confiscated hollow-point ammunition, suspected crack cocaine, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Anyone with information is asked to contact (856) 854-1176 (ext. 4847) or submit through the Haddon Township Police Department website.

Both methods allow for information sources to stay anonymous, officials added.
